Warts can be spread very easily. Simple contact with HPV can lead to warts. If you have a wart, by simply touching it and then another part of your body will spread the virus. Sharing personal hygiene items such as razors, or towels will spread the virus as well. Once infected, it can take several months for a wart to appear. Genital warts are spread through sexual contact, and are spread very easily.

Warts are small skin tumors that can arise unexpectedly and anyplace on the skin. They are generally round in shape and exfoliate like a cabbage. Warts can occur anywhere on the body, but they are more common on the hands and the feet. Some warts will heal themselves with time. But even then, people are always trying to remove the warts because it poses a cosmetic problem. Most times, warts can be removed, but they arise again. However, there are many safe ways in Ayurveda to heal warts with a permanent solution.

One such strain is the culprit, when it comes to warts. The warts are not cancerous, nor do they necessarily need a physicians care. However, because warts can spread further on the skin, be passed to others, and contribute to extremely low self-esteem, most people prefer to do something to get rid of the problem before it has a chance to spread further. Genital warts can also be painful, and they are the most frequent form of a disease transmitted during intimacy. The warts can spread and grow in an environment ripe for viruses.

Other options for the treatment of warts is taping or bandaging the warts for weeks. Some other techniques include putting castor oil before taping it. Others use duct tape to weaken the wart. There are also over the counter pads that you can put especially on warts on your hands and those that are in the soles of your feet or those called plantar warts. When you do use pads, you have to make sure you use not too big pads to avoid irritating the surrounding areas of the warts.

Foot warts – These warts appear on the soles of the feet. They are also called plantar warts. They can be very uncomfortable and painful while walking, because the pressure of walking causes them to get flattened and pushed back into the skin. These warts are finger shaped and are usually flesh-colored. They are common in areas around the mouth, eyes, or nose.

The commonest of warts termed as the Common Wart occur as grayish-brown dome-shaped rough surfaced epidermal bumps on hands, elbows, knees as well as on fingers of both males and females, often taking the shape of cauliflower heads with blackish markings inside. They are innocent harmless little projections on the body that create no more problem than creating some amount of cosmetic crises.

Warts that appear around the nose or mouth are called filiform warts. These are flesh-colored and appear as a small growth. Warts around the fingernails and toenails are called periungal warts and resemble irregular, round-shaped bumps. Genital warts are found in the genital area of men and women or on a woman's cervix.
